Following the 2013 flood the Colorado Hazard Mapping Program (CHaMP) has been studying and remapping rivers to create new floodplain maps, which will replace FEMA's current FIRMs (Flood Insurance Rate Maps) by 2020 - 2021. Please take a look at the link below as it pertains to the following questions.

Follow these instructions for the map:
In the upper right hand corner click the X by "Tool Labels".
In the menu on the left scroll down to the bottom. Uncheck "PLSS".
Zoom in to a section of the map with river that you recognize for the next 2 questions.

Do you feel the 2017 FEMA Floodplains map accurately reflects flood risk? (View by unchecking everything below "Flood" in the left hand menu except "2017 FEMA Floodplains". Legend to map is found in the menu icon to right of "Layers" at top of menu.)
